Shymbulak Resort Hotel

If you are in Almaty, believe me it’s a must visit place. We were here for our wedding anniversary celebration with our 10 months infant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ms. Mallika hotel staff is very helpful and kind. Food is delicious. I loved the hot wine non alcoholic one was very good in taste also the buckwheat recipe and everything served to us veg as well as non veg was super yummy. Although language is a barrier here with many of their staff still everyone seemed to be very supportive and understanding. Cable car ride ticket station to Shymbulak is just at walkable distance from the hotel. Their heated pool is cherry on the cake. Highly recommend to anyone who want to visit and make their stay memorable. Thank you team Shymbulak Ski Resort for making our stay cherishable.

Location is absolutely fabolous. We really enjoyed the heated pool and sauna. Food was tasty and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and view from the balcony was spectacular. We strongly recommend this place to chill,relax and enjoy the peace!

We stayed here for one night last week, it made us so miserable that we couldn't wait to get out. I'm not sure where to start but here goes, from calling the reception for guidance about cable cars (to be rudely commanded to just take it!) to the worst breakfast in our entire stay in Kazakhstan. We went there based on the recommendation of it being a wonderful stay, but it turned out to be a nightmare. the staff have absolutely no regard for guests, especially if you look South Asian. They looked irritated when we asked for something and were very condescending when we sort information about ski facilities and equipment rental. The sad part was the very high bill we paid for such terrible services and food), the only good thing was the decor in the restaurant,, cozy restaurant with cold staff.

Location and convenience for skiing is excellent Hotel is basic, built for practicality not comfort. No chairs in family suite, bathroom, and shower particularly, are tiny! Breakfast was cold and not a lot of choice Restaurant, don’t have any condiments, serve two or three dishes on one plate meaning portion size was smaller and no smiles from the staff! No drinking water in bedrooms, must buy at a restaurant at the extortionate prices. An element of warmth in customer service and the hotel itself is sadly missing. A feeling of only interested in making as much money as possible from you. Oh… there are also no shops, we wanted to buy a box of chocolates for the ski instructor to say thank you, but couldn’t. Also nowhere to buy snacks and soft drinks, again you can only go into expensive restaurants to buy drinks and served food, so bring supplies with you!

Es el único hotel que está en la zona y no está a la altura de su localización y precio. Me dejé unos pendientes en la habitación cuando hice el check out y no aparecieron! Los colchones están duros y las sábanas no cubren los colchones con lo que duermes directamente en un colchón que no tiene ni siquiera protección. Estuvimos 5 noches y el servicio de habitaciones nunca limpió la habitación. Para no repetir!

Очень хороший отель, расположенный в горах. Находится прямо на склоне в 2 минутах от подъемника. Также есть где погулять пешком. В отеле есть отличная баня с панорамным окном, и бассейном с горячей водой. К сожалению есть и недостатки, это отсутствие света в туалете и коридоре номера, так же не понравилась кровать в номере. Отдельно хочется сказать о персонале отеля, очень приятные и доброжелательные люди.
