Tomate Rooms

A last minute Solo trip to Alicante for a few days. Was looking for something close to the beach and old town. Most hotels were £350-450 for 3 nights, and after a few days of refreshing my hotel comparison websites, Tomate Rooms popped up for £200! It must have been a cancellation? Either way, arrived to the most friendliest of welcomes. Room (202) is huge and a 20 second walk to the Main Street with shops and restaurants, 60 second walk to the main promenade and 2 minutes to the old town. A few 5* hotels next door which demonstrates its excellent location. Apartment has a full kitchen (which I wasn’t expecting but would be perfect to cook in if that your thing). Apartment wasn’t cleaned, bed made or towels changed during stay - you’re very much left to your own devices, but I was ok with that - you can’t argue when getting such a great rate. If you’re looking for 5* hospitality, this won’t be for you, but if you’re looking for a clean, easy going, friendly place to stay for a few days, then I would recommend. Would definitely stay again if I return!

Brilliant place to stay.Close to the shops, historical district and a short walk to the beach. Everything was spotlessly clean.The staff were friendly and helpful.The best thing was the availability of beach umbrellas, towels and toys for children.You could borrow these without a reservation and return when you were finished with them.The kitchen was well equipped and the apartment was spacious.

Stayed here for ten nights. Arrived late evening and let ourselves in via the key codes (asked for these the day before to be sure and they sent them). We stayed in one of the penthouse apartments (the one one the front) with terrace. It is on the fifth floor and the lift only goes to four so a short flight of stairs to climb. The apartment is very large with a sloping ceiling which you need to be aware of as you bang you head otherwise as you near the windows. The person who sleeps nearest the window needs to be the shortest!!! The apartment was very clean and we had an interim clean and change of towels/sheets as we stayed for more than a week. As others have said the place is very quirky with sealed concrete walls, astroturf, recalimed wood etc but we liked it. The air conditioning was good (although it did make the odd noise infrequently). The shower was excellent and we didn't use the bath (which is next to the bed). The bed was absolutely huge, at least seven feet wide, firm and comfortable (for us). Accessing the terrace isn't easy as the windows are only about 4-5 feet high with a step at the bottom and a sloping eaves outside to negotiate. Best way was the crab out sideways whilst bending over from the waist!! If you have mobility issues then you will struggle. The small kitchen has all you would want to cook (which we didn't) but you will have to bring all supplies, even basics like oil, salt and pepper. The location can't be bettered. In the middle of everything and yet still quiet at night due to it's height. We ate out all the time and Alicante has some great food options. I will review these separately. The people were lovely and sorted and minor problems promptly. We would certainly stay again!

Очень удобный и интересный комплекс. Классный номер, есть стиральная комната. Отлично работающий кондиционер. Обалденное расположение. Единственный минус, в нашей комнате интернет работа на 50% помещения, на грани срыва. На просьбу исправить...Не смогли или...

Struttura in centro ad Alicante, vicino al Municipio e al lungomare, comodo con i mezzi pubblici (bus c6 da/per aeroporto a 5 minuti in Plaza del Mar). stanza ampia, spaziosa e pulita con tutti i comfort, accesso tramite scale o ascensore. Personale simpatico e disponibile. Vicino alla spiaggia cittadina, disponibilità di utilizzo ombrelloni della struttura gratuitamente, servizio di lavanderia a monetine. Struttura green e rispettosa dell'ambiente. Cucina completa di tutto, noi facevamo solo la colazione, supermercati disponibili a pochi passi come anche ristoranti/bar. Molto consigliata per brevi e lunghi periodi in questa bellissima località della Spagna!

Abbiamo soggiornato per 3 notti in questa splendida struttura a due passi dal centro. Il nostro appartamento era molto grande, fornito di cucina attrezzata molto utile per chi ha dei bambini piccoli, zona giorno con divano e TV, due letti matrimoniali e uno splendido terrazzo. La vera chicca è stata l'altalena in camera con cui la nostra bimba ha trascorso il tempo della nostra permanenza. Lo staff molto gentile e disponibile, il sig. Omar ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni per un soggiorno migliore. La vicinanza al centro è uno dei suoi punti di forza. Lo consigliamo a tutte le famiglie e non solo in visita ad Alicante!
