B&B Casa Luz del Sur, Adults Only

What an amazing find. Casa Luz del Sur is a gorgeous little oasis far enough outside of the craziness of Malaga that you feel like you're in another world. Pieter and Margo, the owners, are just the loveliest people - kind, welcoming, helpful and perfect hosts. Their easygoing attitude puts you in holiday mode from the minute you get there. The rooms are spotless, roomy and comfortable, with a private patio for each. The pool area is fantastic with a variety of sun loungers/beds, and the honor bar is well stocked. But the breakfast...the breakfast is next level. All sorts of homemade breads, jams, smoothies plus all kinds of fruit, veg, cheeses and other bits. They really go all out. It's relatively close to the town - easy to walk during daylight, though I wouldn't at night because it's quite dark. Cabs are easy to get though. Pieter and Margot gave us loads of great restaurant recommendations and info on the feria that was on during our stay. It is an oasis of calm, and the perfect place to go if you want to relax and unwind. We will definitely go back.

Casa Luz del Sur is nothing short of stunning! A small 5 bedroom B&B that provides 5 star quality and service! Our room was truly beautiful. Very stylish and tastefully decorated. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding linen was of the highest quality. The B&B is located at the edge of a small town and was extremely private, secure and peaceful. The beautiful pool area was perfect for relaxing and frequently empty as other guest were out exploring the local area. However, the highlight of our stay was the breakfast! Pieter and Margot are without doubt, wonderful hosts and their attention to detail on the breakfast was something special. The range of food available for such a small number of people was impressive. Full of homemade options and a range of locally produced foods. We very much hope to return!

As my title says Just Perfect in every way,Pieter and Margot are the perfect hosts,not intrusive but there for any information about the area.Five lovely rooms arranged in a beautiful garden with a central lounge area with great sun beds and a fantastic pool with an honesty bar with a great selection of drinks and snacks.The breakfast freshly prepared by Pieter every morning is an unbelievable experience with freshly baked breads and a vast selection of culinary delights (see website photos) all made by Pieter.I could go on forever but don’t just believe me,read all the other reviews they don’t lie.This was our first visit to Casa luz del sur but definitely not our last have already booked for next year.

Every detail seemed to be placed from the heart: beautiful but personal. And awesome energy rom entering the Casa and seeing Pieter and his big smile to entering our room, hanging out at the pool, listening to the lounge music around the (well equipped) honesty bar to talking to Pieter and Margot and the other guests over the super yummy (and home made) breakfast and exchanging ideas for beautiful hikes and beach visits ... everything made our three and a half days to perfect get-away. Reluctant to give review as being selfish it may become too popular ! On the other hand the proprietors deserve as many bookings as possible. The location, individual rooms are excellent. The breakfast is superb, with so much choice & homemade specialities, served with a warmth rarely experienced by Brits anywhere. The Hosts are multi- lingual, caring, great fun & will give every assistance to ensure a great holiday, whether it be a night/ weekend or longer stay. You will need a car for access as this is a 1/2 hour trip inland from Malaga airport but very centrally located for your travels, do not let this deter you, rarely do you find anywhere to match this for relaxation & class. Do not tell everyone as this is a secret GEM of a place. We will visit every year for life.

Fabulous fabulous fabulous The Accomodation is 5 star quality from the linens to the quality of the furnishings. The hosts are amazing welcoming & knowledgeable of the local area very helpful. The breakfast is a feast for your eyes home made jams, breads cakes. We travel 3/4 months a year this place is a real memory stay we will definitely be returning. Amazing place.

I normally do not provide online reviews, but this one is so special; I must do it. In English (as a Dutchman) as Casa del Luz is internationally orientated. They (Pieter and Margot) call themselves a B&B, but in my opinion, it is a luxury hotel with only a few rooms and no restaurant. Swimming pool with a self-service bar. An A+ for Hygiene. A perfect place to really relax and to charge your batteries again. The breakfast is the proud work of Pieter every morning, the buffet is a colorful pallet of all fresh products and all sorts of bread just out of the oven. Close to Malaga, Marbella, many beaches and other things to see, like the carminito del Rey. Situated on a mountain, there is always is a fresh breeze. 20 minutes’ walk to Alhaurin del Grande with numerous bars and restaurants. Golf course at 3km and many others in the vicinity. In short, Casa del Luz is highly recommendable.

Everything about Casa Luz del Sur rates 10/10. The location was excellent. The accommodation was superb while the breakfasts were incredible. Hosts Pieter & Margot have got the balance just right and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Thanks for a great few days.

Reservamos 3 noches en el puente de agosto y no pudimos hacer mejor elección. Las fotos no engañan. El sitio es un oasis de paz y tranquilidad en plena sierra de Málaga, a 5 minutos en coche del pueblo de Alhaurín El Grande. Decorado con un gusto impecable, todos los rincones son un deleite para los sentidos. El lugar consta de 5 habitaciones y parking privado para cada una de ellas; piscina con tumbonas, hamacas y camas balinesas, en la que te puedes bañar a cualquier hora (respetando siempre a los demás huéspedes); una zona chill out con un honesty bar; y una zona de desayuno encantadora donde Peter (el anfitrión), te ofrece un buffet de lo más variado teniendo en cuenta que como mucho habrá 10 huéspedes. Nosotros nos quedamos en la habitación Limón, que consta de terraza privada con unos sofás comodísimos. La cama es grande y ella y las almohadas son cómodas. Tanto la habitación como el baño son amplios. Limpios y luminosos. Limpian la habitación y te hacen la cama diariamente. Te cambian las toallas cada 2 días y la de la piscina, si quisieras, cada día. Dispone de secador y de insecticida por si lo necesitases para algún bichito que se colase (gran detalle). El único pero que le podemos poner a la habitación es que echamos en falta una neverita en ella para poder mantener nuestras botellas de agua fresquitas. Peter es amable y simpático. Se nota que le gusta lo que hace. Nosotros ya hemos recomendado el sitio a todos nuestros conocidos porque es una maravilla.
