Seine Boat Inn

We enjoyed a long labour day weekend at the Seine Boat Inn in Alert Bay. TerryLynn made the reservation process and preparation for our visit so easy, answering my many pesky questions and welcoming us warmsly when we arrived after our ferry from Port McNeil. We stayed in Room 205, which is the large king bedroom right on the water. What amazing views, the sunsets are especially beautiful! The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a full kitchen, making it easy to prepare simple meals. We also enjoyed the Orca Restaurant for dinner. On the island, the Umista Cultural Centre is a must-do, and a walk to the 'back' of the island and along the rocky beach there is very peaceful. We also took a grizzly viewing tour with Sea Wolf Adventures and highly recommend that--we were lucky to see 3 pods of orca at once, all feeding in a big tidal rip. Highly recommend the Seine Boat Inn and Alert Bay!

What a fabulous place to stay. So quaint, and cozy. We had a great stay here, and loved the location, views and wonderful Manager, Terrylynn. So much history in this little town and the hotel which was built around 1940, has been very well maintained. Comfy beds, clean and one of the cutest hotels around.

Had a wonderful stay at the Seine Boat Inn. It’s right over the water, so you can hear the waves right under you. Clean, cosy rooms that include a small kitchen with a sink, fridge, kettle, microwave, plates and cutlery. Everything you need. We were on the right side, first floor, and could enjoy the well maintained container garden and stunning views. Terry Lynn was super friendly and helpful, as were all staff we met on-site. We loved every minute we were here 💕 Highly recommend!

We had an excellent stay at The Seine Boat Inn. It was rounded off by the lovely lady of the house who cared awesome about us. Fantastic and adorable views! The room and evertything at the beautiful area - it's really a great experience.

One of the most charming places I have ever stayed! The ambience was wonderful, so much history. The gardens were bright and cheerful. Very clean and comfortable. Had one of my best sleeps ever. Check in was a breeze and super informative.

We have stayed twice at this Inn and we love it. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and you simply sink into the simplicity of Alert Bay when you stay here. There is a little kitchenette and a grocery store across the road but as it is a very small community and not all eateries are open every day you just need to plan out your groceries or eating times. Terry is very helpful and responds to emails very quickly when you make inquiries. The location itself allows you to be there 2 minutes after you get off the ferry, doors on either side of your room allow you to step out and watch the sunrise or the sunset and the views are wonderful.

An amazing experience. We were blown away with the rooms and the view. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the ferry and the area. It was nice to be able to have my morning tea out on the front deck, watching the ocean. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Jutting out into the sea with views of snowy peaks in the distance, this is a beautifully situated hotel. Our room was large, clean, well-equipped, and warm (very much needed these past few days). The decor is rustic and woody--filled with character and just perfect for the setting. I appreciated that we could walk everywhere on Cormorant Island from our hotel--to the Umista Cultural Centre, up into the ecological bog, and all along the waterfront of Alert Bay. Terry Lynn was kind and quick to respond. I recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Cormorant.

Alert Bay is incredible and just down the road from the ferry dock is the Seine Boat Inn. TerryLynn greeted us at the hotel and I automatically felt the small town charm. Loved chatting to her and her easy manner. Rooms are nicely finished and we had a water view/deck on each side of the room. Convenient to have a kitchen as well and very comfy beds! I would definitely stay here again
