The service staff was unfriendly because there was already a high demand. Especially the director Miguel, who was rude and did nothing to help us with the check-in, offering us with a child to check in to a dirty room. And then did not even greet us. This greatly spoiled the atmosphere of the holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel and would happily return. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the beach, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with plenty of variety, and the staff were always professional, friendly, and ready to help. Rooms were kept very clean throughout our stay. A couple of small notes for future guests: ground-floor rooms come with larger balconies but the sea view is more limited. Our room didn’t have a kettle, iron, or ironing board, so it’s worth checking with the hotel directly if you need those. Also, half board covers meals but not drinks at dinner. The guests we met were polite and friendly, coming from all over Europe, which gave the hotel a nice international feel without being dominated by one group. Around the pool, sunbeds are free, but we personally preferred the beach where two sunbeds plus an umbrella cost just over €18 per day. That said, there’s also plenty of free space for anyone who prefers to bring their own beach gear and umbrella. Overall, we were really happy with our stay and the level of service, so much so that we’re already planning to return next summer for a longer visit!

I picked Hotel Sofia for its location, within walking distance to the old town (33 minutes by walk). It was difficult to take bus or order a taxi in Alcudia Beach area, which might take a long time to wait. The beach was long and wide with fine sands. My suite has a sea view. But the gate from the hotel property to the beach was unguarded at all. The room was big but the sound proof quality was bad. I was able to hear people talking outside my window or in the hallway. Pillows were not comfortable and operating the air conditioning devices in the room took some learning skills. Furniture and bathroom doors malfunctioned sometimes. Toilet had no tissue paper or dental kits and only a small trash bin. Breakfast had good selection. Staffs were really kind and professional. They had done a marvelous job to make guests satisfied. There are two outside restaurants I would like to suggest: Dos Pins on the right and Bistro Jardin on the left, within 5 min of walking distance. There was a big hotel "Sunwing" nearby which seemed to be the most popular property in the area even with laundromat.
