BeGuest Cascais Inn Apartments

BeGuest are one of the worst hosts I've ever encountered. Rude, unpleasant, stole our money. Beware! The house we rented (in Quinta da Marinha) was very poor maintenance, broken things, no AC, leaking refrigerator and terrible sewage smell in kitchen. When we asked for assistance we were ignored for a few hours, then advised to run hot water in the sink for a few minutes (supposedly the smell is common in summer. what?) We were told the AC cannot run for more than 3 consecutive hours and we should shut it off for a few hours before turning on again. Obviously, that didn't work, I've never heard of an AC that can only run for 3 hours. Refrigerator was leaking - we were told that it may be our fault as nobody has ever complained about it and if found to be or fault they will charge us (it's an old fridge, how can it be our fault that it's leaking, we've only been there for 13 hours?) Other parts of the house had broken amenities, smell of mold and dust and overall poor maintenance. After spending half a day waiting for a reply from customer service, we were told to wait for maintenance at 4pm, which we declined. Account manager Monica Oliveira which claims to be the owner of BeGuest, said she will refund us if we vacate before 2:30pm, which we did. We were charged 1100 euros. We demanded a breakdown of the costs and got a receipt after one week with made up numbers that have nothing to do with the original price we paid (the per-night they charged us was 100 euros higher than the original price). Owner continued to say we made things up and next guests were pleased and no complaints.
