Hotel Garden

After reading previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were great the food was good, i ate too much every night, and the rooms were nice and clean (Clean towels every day). The town is a lovely place and a good base for our trip. I would definitely go back again. I also loved the frog chorus that serenaded us every evening (early May). This for me was a fun thing to remember my holiday as it was very unique. Andrea.

Just had a holiday with Shearings and stayed here. Absolutely no complaint about Shearings but they need to stop using this hotel. The food is the worst I have ever tasted. I lived on bread rolls. No one on the table got their meals at the same time. It was extremely hard to know what we were eating. The inclusive bar was a joke. Cans of crap lager. Sexist barmen who would only give me a small glass but the men could get pints. Flies in the wine. Dinner service was so slow we had very little bar time left. We had two days with no hot water. Fellow passengers had to offer us their shower. The manager (I think he was) was so rude. He screamed ‘what’ in my face when he didn’t hear me at the bar. He never smiled or even spoke until we were leaving. I had used sheets on my bed the first day. Rooms were ok but not really very clean. I thought room was clean until I spilled some water and it mixed with dirt off floor. Pool was empty and needed repair. Towels had seen better days. Keys are left on show in reception which is not always staffed so anyone could take them. Safe didn’t work. I’ve seen on another review that the hotel response to a bad review was that it was fake. This isn’t, I assure you . If you are booked to go to this hotel, change your booking. You deserve better than this.

Can I start by saying that the resort of Alassio was a great surprise with an excellent beach and plenty of choice in bars and restaurants. Ok, now the positives are covered I'll talk about the rest, as I mentioned in the title , the air con didn't work, complained to reception and it worked for an hour or so and then failed again, my thought is this was selective on the hotel's part. The room we had was typical budget with very little storage space , it's surprising what you can put on 3 hangars. Breakfast was served in the basement area below the reception, it has open doors which lead to an area of vegetation surrounding a pool of water with terrapins in it, and mosquitos, many, many mosquitos, so beware. Coffees are made to order so be prepared to scrum down with the crowds. On a couple of occasions they had run out of bread with no more to replace it. There aren't enough tables and chairs to accommodate everyone when the hotel is busy. I have to give it to the waiter at breakfast who must be one of triplets as his brothers work on the bar and in the restaurant at night. If I'm painting a dark picture of breakfast then please be assured that this is the best meal of the day in this hotel. Evening meals are situated in the building across the road from reception , to start there is a salad bar which is busy and ok I suppose, pasta is the prince and the pauper in every dish, by that I mean it's the main ingredient and of very little taste, as the food is plated you are presented with it and there you go, I've never been able to count chips at a quick glance before. My views just seem to be the same as many others going back years and I find it hard to believe that Shearings haven't acted on them , sometimes an apology isn't enough.

Just returned from Hotel Garden 18th of September 2022 on a Shearings Holiday the food was terrible the rooms very basic with no tea or coffee making facilities the staff where not very nice at times definitely would not recommend this Hotel!

Ho prenotato 3 gg in questo hotel telefonicamente mi hanno detto un importo arrivata li era quasi il doppio le temde delle camere poco pulite la colazione molto scadente mai un frutto fresco ho pagato 124 euro a notte camera molto rumorosa scomodo per andare al mare

Accueil très bon, chambre très agréable avec une belle vue et un grand balcon. Salle de bain minuscule avec le bidet juste devant les WC, à peine 30 cm d'écart... la literie était moyenne. Dommage que le petit déjeuner soit si mal achalandé, on a rarement vu un buffet aussi minable. Il y a vraiment des points à revoir, car le quartier est très calme et l'accès à la plage est rapide. Espérons qu'ils reverront tous ces points cités. On ne doit pas être les seuls à avoir eu ces déconvenues.
