Our trip to this desert camp was a unique adventure with a mix of highs and a few minor lows. The drive to the location was longer than expected, but this turned out to be a positive as it meant we got to enjoy the vast desert landscape almost entirely to ourselves. Accommodation: We opted for the Discovery tent, as it provided the most authentic camping feel compared to other options that had doors, which somewhat diminished the "tent experience." If you’re looking for the best views, I highly recommend requesting a tent at the front rather than at the back. The tent itself was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. However, it's worth noting that the tents are not the newest. We experienced some minor issues with the tent not closing properly, and the zipper broke at one point. Additionally, a rainy day meant that water eventually made its way into the tent. While we were informed that the tent might make noise due to wind (which was not an issue for us), and that wild dogs roamed at night (we heard them but never saw them up close), these aspects added to the adventure rather than detracting from it. The camp provided earplugs for those sensitive to noise. Weather Considerations: If visiting during the colder months, bringing warm clothing is essential. The tent has air conditioning, but it does not sufficiently heat the space in cold weather. I assume that in hotter months, keeping the tent cool could also be a challenge. We visited in February, which is the off-season, and enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves. Atmosphere & Activities: Interestingly, despite being off-season, most of the other guests were families with children rather than couples, so if you’re looking for a romantic getaway, this might be worth considering. One of the highlights of our trip was the two-hour quad biking experience, which I highly recommend. The combination of breathtaking views, excitement, and adrenaline made it an unforgettable adventure. We also tried out the heated pool, which was more lukewarm than warm. While it was still enjoyable, it would have been even better if it were slightly warmer. Another downside was that we were unable to order certain beverages from the menu—presumably due to it being the off-season. Additionally, wine by the glass was unavailable, which was a bit of a letdown, since you dont necessarily need a whole bottle by the pool, but still want the possibility to enjoy a glass under the sun. In the evening, the main area came alive with a lit fireplace and various activities, such as a fire show, henna tattoos, and the chance to make your own bread, all of which were free and added to the cultural experience. Local musicians provided the perfect backdrop to the night’s ambiance. Food & Dining Experience: The pricing for food was as expected—not cheap but not overly excessive either. However, the quality left a bit to be desired. While decent, the food as a whole was rather bland, which was somewhat disappoi
