I stayed at this hotel with my family, at the end of December. The hotel is very good value for money. The room size was huge. Although it didn't have a 'new' feel, it was clean and nice. The beach was great and it had a nice view of Snoopy Island. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The hotel guests were 90% from a large European country beginning with R BUT they were fine. I didn't have any issues, although I normally stay somewhere with a greater mix of people. The only issue was the hotel location and general Fujairah infrastructure. Unlike Rak and Dubai etc, Fujairah doesn't have a Careem or Uber. That meant we were reliant on the taxis the hotel provided for us. I understand they use a private company but our short journey was the most expensive I've had in the UAE. Plus the personal hygiene of the taxi driver wasn't the best. The other hotel we visited (for food), arranged a return journey (to Royal M Al Aqah) for us but far cheaper. Their staff started laughing when I told them the price of Royal M taxi price. Of course I was very angry but one of the managers (Fatima) was incredible. She listened to my complaint and rectified it. The second time we booked was cheaper but the taxi driver also had a personal hygiene problem. He was very friendly but that was an issue, as the second journey was longer than the first. My issue is that if you don't drive, you are totally reliant on this taxi service, with expensive prices and low personal hygiene. The hotel would be better having their own drivers or encouraging the normal taxis to come to the hotel. Luckily Fatima helped somewhat but the taxi service was the worst I've travelled in since I've been here. Their prices should mean nice vehicles and better hygiene. If you charge Dubai Luxury Prices, I want Dubai Luxury Service. Overall I enjoyed my stay but the experience is better if you stay in the hotel or you drive.
