Sand Sapphire

I traveled to South Goa as I researched it was more peaceful than the North. I booked one night in Palolem but after a group of men partied outside my room literally 2 metres away until 2 am I decided to move to Agonda beach. The reviews said it was much quieter. There are so many hotels ***** the beach and I found a hotel that looked pleasant. Whilst still in Palolem I called the number of the hotel and spoke to the owner Reece. I explained my situation. He said when I asked does his hotel beach restaurant play music he said only during the day. He repeated that several times. I checked in intending to stay for one week. My room was directly above the restaurant. That night I complained about music and it was shut off at 9. Approximately 5 /6 members of staff sleep on top of the tables in the restaurant. One *** talked so loudly on the phone for 3 hours until after midnight I had to go down and ask him to be quiet. I emailed the owner on Friday 7th February asking for a refund for the money for the remaining 2 nights. I had found quieter place to stay. Someone called Spencer emailed back immediately saying no refund would be given. I therfore wrote pointing out that when booked I did so after Reece assured me no music was played. That’s was not correct. I told him clearly I was moving from my previous hotel due to a party outside my room. He assured me that was not the case. The 1st night a *** talked so loudly until after midnight. I had to go down stairs and complain. The second night music was played again. Thank you then. I will check out as you insist on Monday morning. I trust no music will be played as the owner confirmed with me. The room and my bed had ants in. The shower had NO hot water. The walls are like wafer thin and the hotel is run down. The bed lined was worn and had holes in that had been repaired. On Saturday 8th February the music was so loud and the people playing pool were shouting so loud and using foul language that I contacted the quiet guest house I located and moved out. Although I had paid for a remaining 2 nights the situation was so bad with noise I left. I have 10 videos recording the noise. You can hear word for word the conversations people have in the restaurant underneath and each time a pool ball is struck. Reece the owner and his hotel have no regard to a promise they had made that no music was played in their restaurant on evenings and even when I asked for a refund none was given even though they knew a guest was very unhappy at their hotel and that they could have easily taken another reservation and helped they did not do so. They have no understanding of the hospitality industry. Do not stay here.

"Seaescape by Sand Sapphire Goa was a complete disappointment. Despite providing private parking, they take zero responsibility if anything happens to your vehicle. And guess what? They don't even have a security guard for the parking area, so the chances of your vehicle getting stolen are pretty high. To add insult to injury, when our vehicle got hit by a truck while parked there, they refused to provide us with the CCTV footage and only showed it to us once. Talk about lack of transparency! On top of all that, they require you to pay the full amount for the booking upfront and offer no refunds if you decide to leave early. And don't even get me started on the cleanliness of the rooms. They didn't even bother to clean them once during our stay! To make matters worse, they charge for every little thing, including water bottles and ice. It's like they're trying to nickel and dime you at every turn. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against visiting this property. Their service, security, and safety standards are a complete letdown. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for accommodation." Hope this helps!
