Amazing resort with fantastic staff and a stunning location (we got perfect weather) however there were some issues in their opening week in April when we were there. No wifi or particularly hot water for the first 24 hrs in the room, room stunning but slightly damp smell when we walked in, Core restaurant first night all over the place -not handed a menu for 45 mins and then wrong food served (overcooked chicken and cold v strange tacos), beach restaurant ran out of chicken on the dine around by 7.30pm one night, Blend (steak restaurant) no steak on the dine around one night (usually amazing though), villa swimming pool pump not working entire stay. These were obviously first week issues - to go from no one to 93% occupancy must be a challenge but most will have gone when up to full speed so somehow need to address. This is not to put anyone off the hotel - it is fantastic - the beach is great, the staff are faultless, the bar areas/reception rooms are luxurious. Everything you could want and I am sure within a couple of weeks it was a well oiled machine. Couple of tips - go to Plaka for some authentic Greek food/drink (it would be great if the hotel embraced this with a couple of Greek evenings maybe), and whilst good probably skip the olive oil tasting trip as quite a long way and its as if you are going back to the airport! Best tip though - get the speedboat at 9am to Spinagola - you will have the island to yourself and worth every penny. We would definitely go again to the hotel but possibly May.
