Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection

Just back from eight unforgettable nights with my wife and two small kids. The one-bedroom residence was ideal—main bedroom for us, huge living area with two comfy sofa beds for the kids, plus a private heated pool that made every nap time feel like a spa break. Food? Excellent. Staff? Even better—especially with allergies (my wife’s coeliac, I’ve got a wheat allergy). Everyone was informed, kind, and helpful. The resort runs on golf buggies—yes, it’s as brilliant as it sounds. And the private beach and pools were calm, clean, and perfect for little ones. Speedboat trip? Tick. Spinalonga visit? Tick. Relaxed parents? Tick tick. Special shout-outs to Elani, Alexandros, Sara, and Petros—Domes is lucky to have them. The service was faultless without ever being fussy. If you want luxury without snobbery, where kids are welcomed and parents can actually relax—book it. You’ll feel like you’ve hacked the holiday system.

Our second time visiting in 6 months. This time with a 4 year old and an 18 month old. Amazing hotel so well set up for families. They have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. In the restaurants they have high chairs, a toddler buffet station, colouring packs at dinner, toddler plates/bowls/cutlery and the staff make such a fuss of the children. In our room they provided everything we might need too: change mat, cot with linen, potty, toddler toilet seat, baby toiletries, stair gate and a fence round the pool. They even had mini dressing gowns for each of the children. If you need anything else all you have to do is ask e.g. steriliser. There’s a lovely pool for babies next to the main pool which is shaded and the beach is great for small children. It is sheltered so the water is very calm and shallow for ages, perfect for exploring. Special thank you to the wonderful ladies running the brilliant kids club. We were nervous leaving out two children there but Deppy, Angie, Connie and Tzela looked after them so well that they ran in on the 2nd day and even asked to go back. They just love children and it really shows and makes such a difference. When we picked them up they were always crafting/playing games and most importantly happy!

As others have said the hotel is in a superb location. Room was excellent as was housekeeping. All staff were very friendly and service was good. As a couple we were surprised that there were so many young pre-school children, who were having a great time. However this meant that at breakfast and in the evening, the buffet restaurant was sometimes rather noisy. Only other slight downside was that in mid May the adult pool was not heated and we noticed some were put off going in. Really comfy sun beds. Great idea to put on free experiences and we enjoyed a talk on Spinalonga, an enjoyable wine tasting hosted by Anna, and a great cocktail session run by the two Giorgios

We had an amazing week at Domes of Elounda! All the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was peaceful (other than when we had a water fight in the kids pools!) Our accommodation was really spacious and we loved having our own pool and outdoor space. Miranda who looked after our room was amazing. The kids club was amazing, our 5 year old daughter went 3 times and loved every session. The first time I went to pick her up before the end of the session and she opted to stay longer - I’m not sure there is much higher praise than that!

A truly outstanding 5 star hotel. Amazing rooms and the spa is fabulous with one of the best massages I have ever had. The fitness and yoga classes were excellent as was the teenage room and the dine around program. Perhaps an improvement would be to connect the watersports centre with the hotel so we are able to put activities on the room without having to go back to fetch our cards/ cash to pay. But what sets this hotel apart is that when had an issue with one of the rooms, the hotel went above and beyond to make it up to us and to make sure that we had an amazing stay. We were super impressed and other hotels would do well to follow suit. Special thanks to Eleni the villa manager and Igor Amazidis the hotel operations manager.

Recently visited here and absolutely loved it. Such a great place to stay. Very modern and luxurious. The staff are really welcoming and always happy to help. Food was perfect for us too. One guy that stood out for us was Pedros. His local knowledge and passion for Crete helped make our stay unforgettable. Can't wait to go back!
