Candia Park Village

We spent a lovely week here at the end of May, two adults and two children (6 & 9). It was a really relaxing week! Room - nice decor, fantastic shower room, comfy bed and sofa bed. We were ground floor with a garden view so not much to see but pleasant to sit with a glass of wine in the evening. Pool - two large pools and a baby pool so space for everyone. The mini club was amazing - the staff were so friendly and there were various activities every day so the kids could dip in and out as they wanted. They made Greek hats, a cooking class, calendars, film and popcorn and more .. one day we couldn’t get the kids out! It was great having the beach on site with showers to get all cleaned up before heading back to the pool or room. We hired pedalo and jet ski which were reasonable and staff friendly. The only negatives ( and I am being picky because we had a wonderful time) are that the drinks / food are fairly expensive - a beer is 6euro plus and a wine at least 7euro a glass so a few drinks in the afternoon soon mounts up. Kids ice creams were also dear but the gelateria was a nice treat after a day at the pool. We ate at the a la carte taverna twice and once at the buffet as we were b&b - a la carte was expensive and quality was hit and miss. Buffet a nice change and kids enjoyed the variety. Room was a little noisy as a road runs by down to the restaurant and feels like they get deliveries etc every morning but that said, we weren’t there for a lie in so didn’t impact too much. We got taxis to Elounda and Ag Nic some evenings - both pleasant for a stroll, shopping and some food. I would definitely return whilst the kids are young enough to enjoy the entertainment - thanks for a lovely week!

Wonderful back, neck and scalp massage, plus aloe vera wrap, with Andreas. Really relaxing wrap, really firm massage which was requested. Highly recommend the spa treatment, thank you to Sofia and Emmanouela for arranging it for me. A wonderful hour!

We stayed here for a week (booked through TUI) and had the best time. The facilities are spot on and great for families, the staff are all friendly and really helpful. It didn't feel too busy or family only, but did feel safe and relaxed. There are some perks/features that might be missed initially (like the use of pool towels included in the price) but nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Some of the food/drink is more expensive on site than elsewhere locally, but that's to be expected and it was still just as delicious, with a good selection on offer. It's a little way out of town ( about 10 mins drive) which means it's not so easy to explore aghios nikolaos without a taxi/car but there's plenty to do on site.

We have had a great vacation. All staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and very spacious. We traveled with a 6 year old and an 18month old. There was lots to do for both ages. The food was delicious. I also received an amazing massage from Andreas in the aegeo spa- thank you so much!

We have just got home from a beautiful two week holiday with our two young boys. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left was brilliant. We had a sea view room that was obviously incredible with the amazing sea view and stunning sun rises all though you had to get up pretty early to see those lol a swim in the sea was steps away, the walk to breakfast was like a mini coastal walk passing buy lovely smelling spring flowers and well kept lawns. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty and the buffet dinner was also very fresh and really very nice I have come home a bit bigger than I went lol The pools were refreshing and super clean And the pool side bar has the sea views for a afternoon drink of coffee or mythos I am well travelled and honestly for what we wanted as a family of four we can not fault anything! We were all happy and had loads of fun! We enjoyed it so much I have just re booked for our family holiday agian next may! See you next year candia

Family trip during the Greek Easter period and I can highly recommend the hotel for spring lovers with a family. The rooms are huge and made from scratch to welcome families. It is difficult to find a similar hotel. Lots of space for children and absolute safety. Excellent staff, food in a Cretan, with flowering gardens environment. The food is recommended for lovers who want to try the local cuisine without missing anything from what they are used to. In close proximity is the city of Agios Nikolaos and everything that someone desires from a city. The room lacks nothing of what a family needs even in the high category of the hotel. Absolute recommendation for family holidays
