CHC Marilena Hotel

I want to express my gratitude to the all staff of Marilena Hotel, after arriving we were welcomed warmly at the reception desk, workers speak different foreign languages fluently and we had an opporunity to speak in French with the receptionist who answered all our questions and showed us gladly our hotel room. We stayed 10 days there and every day we were getting an excellent service provided by hotel staff. The hotel room was pretty spacious with comfortable beds, there was a big wardrobe for clothes and another furniture as well. The bathroom was nice with towels and hygiene products. In the room there was Wi-Fi too. Our balcony had a view of the hotel swimming pool and sea. We didn`t hear any noise during the night, it was quiet in the room. I want to highlight the cleaning service, every day the room was cleaned, towels were replaced. We had all-inclusive board, the food was very delicious and varied, during the day there was a working bar where we coud take some snacks and different alcoholic and non alcoholic. The administrator and waiters were very friendly and polite. The hotel territory was clean with a large swimming pool and deck chairs, there was a parking space and beautiful garden with roses. The hotel is located in a good area, the bus stop is one minute from there, a lot of shops around. To reach the sea it took 5 minutes maximum, there was a path which led directly to the sea. We are looking forward to staying in Marilena Hotel again!

I chose this hotel for our 4nt break after reading the review where it said the hotel was recently renovated and the food was great. The only good thing I can say is that the room was clean. It was extremely basic. My back is very sore after 4 nts in the beds. They are not comfortable at all. The food in the restaurant was cold. Even when we were 1st in the restaurant, the food was still cold. We did mention to the lady who cleaned our plates about the food and she laughed. A guest relations lady said that we were the only ones to mention that the food was cold which I thought was rather odd. Or maybe visitors are used to cold food in these kind of hotels. If you want an orange juice with your breakfast that’s an extra €3, Greek coffee is an extra €1.50. There is a bar by the pool and they do crepes, burgers and gyros and they are cooked to order and are hot. The staff at that bar are lovely. The hotel has lots of cats roaming about, clearly hungry as wanting food all the time so we bought a few tubs of cat food from the supermarket to feed them. This hotel is no good if you have mobility issues. Yes there is a steep ramp to get you in the hotel but there are no lifts, toilets are downstairs in the lobby area and the grounds are not suitable as steps and uneven grounds. There is a beach about a 6/7 minute walk away and was nice although we only went to look. There are a few little shops nearby which is handy. There are bus stops and taxi ranks outside the hotel which is very handy. We got a taxi down to the port €14 each way. Was the hotel worth the money? In my opinion No. we came all inclusive and I thought it was poor. If I booked here for my main holiday then I’d have checked out and found a nicer hotel. This is NOT a 4* hotel, I would give it a 2 or 2 1/2 at the most.

We had an amazing time! I personally loved the Cretan night with syrtaki dance around the pool! This brought us closer to the greek culture. The staff and the dancers were very friendly and polite! Special thanks to the receptionists, who gave us a map and guided us! We'll come back for sure!!

It was a last minute trip with my friend. We have got few decisiuons and we chose this one. We are glad for this place we staid. Because of good location and very good food. It was 5 minutes to the beach by foot which was clean and beautiful. Also very good thing were people working in the hotel, especially restaurant. We liked a waitress called Maria Soulva. She was with a smile all day long. Nice and very pleasant person.

We had a great stay at the Marilena Hotel. The staff are attentive and very welcoming. Despite an unexpected influx of children in the hotel linked to a sports tournament, the staff always had little touches for us to improve the comfort of our stay. We stayed in a very large room with a double balcony, overlooking the swimming pool and the sea. Following work in the building, we were upgraded to a second room, overlooking the swimming pool. The buffet, always full, is varied and of good quality. The hotel reception is staffed 24 hours a day and helped us book a rental car and a taxi. A big thank you to all the hotel staff for their attention and kindness. We would particularly like to thank Manos and his colleague in charge of the restaurant reception for their welcome, their smile, and their attention throughout our stay. Staying at the hotel was a great experience. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. The team is very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty and the selection is varied. Special thanks to the restaurant's chef, bartender and Irene! :) Luule and Kalle from Estonia
