Hari Club Beach Resort

Would not return to this hotel. Rooms - cupboard door wouldn’t close, toilet seat broken, balcony chairs broken, light bulbs broken, one English language TV channel (BBC News), balcony filthy and from ours we could see directly into the bathroom of the room opposite. No kettle, and reception wouldn’t provide one. Food - average all inclusive offering, often run out of plates, cups, juices, soft drink dispenser often not working. Staff - Karim (Shisha/Tea) was brilliant. Young lad at the beach bar very pleasant, always smiling and vey polite. Bar staff - work extremely hard. There would often be a queue at the bar in the evening you did not typically wait long to be served. Animators - saw, and heard of numerous examples of the animators harassing young single ladies. The hotel is supposed to be the “safe space” where women can escape the unwanted attentions of the locals. Management need to have a word. Entertainment - quite varied, dancers, karaoke, quiz. After the entertainment finished music would be played until midnight, loudly. Very loudly, if you want to sleep before midnight you’ll need your earplugs. Pool area - usual towels claiming sunbeds at 7am. We didn’t stay by the pool as it looked way too crowded. Fortunately, it has its own beach which was clean, the sea was easily accessible and also clean, and as previously mentioned the young guy in the beach bar was great. Wi-Fi - appalling. Hotel Shop - overpriced. Go out of the front of the hotel and turn right. Couple of minutes walk are two shops, much cheaper. This was our first and last visit to Djerba, we will stick to Hammamet.

I went with my 19yr old son just for a last minute respite for myself. I was immediately given a disabled room next to reception and facing the indoor pool. The room was spotless and every day the maid asked did we want it cleaning as we had the do not disturb sign on. I can't comment on breakfast because we never bothered with it. Lunch we went every day and most days I could.find things to eat (allergy etc) my son had no problems at all and definitely made use of the AI food. Evening meal was the same for both of us again. I did enjoy helping myself to the lovely French bread sandwiches and cake for supper each night. I loved how water was always available. I don't drink alcohol so water and coffees kept me.more than happy. My son tried a few beers and cocktails and said they were really good and not watered down. The bar staff were really lovely, helpful, chatty and there was never a queue for drinks. The reception staff were always smiling and very helpful. In fact all the staff were great. I can't say one bad word against any of them. Non of the other restaurants were open as it was only mid March but we didn't care because it's not our main holiday. The weather was far to hot and with Ramadam it was unsafe for fast action animation. I was happy with that because I went for peace. The animation team did make their presence know by making sure everyone was happy. Having conversations. Offering card games etc I didn't use the pool but plenty did so it must've been nice. The beach was okay a little further down where the sunbeds for the hotel were. Nearer the entrance wasn't very nice due to the seaweed. Photos from the beach are amazing. The evenings consisted of the whole place being electric with fun. Many from the UK and France all on the karaoke. Dancing. Playing games and having a good laugh. I was so sad to leave but my daughter had gone in to labour and my other daughter was getting married the week after. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back at the end of April. Make sure you take mosquito stuff as it was bad for some including my son and I. I did get stuff from the shop on site who charged me £25 If I wasn't just chatting and having a laugh with the owner and my son I'd have noticed the cost and said nope and gone the pharmacy. Tunisia is my favourite country and I go a lot. Djerba might just be my new 'adult' place to go from now on. It definitely isn't 4* it's more a 2* but it's spotless and great fun for out of season. I have to add that the indoor pool was fabulous after a day at the pool. It was perfect to float in because nobody else used it. I had it to myself each evening. I highly recommend going to the crocodile farm. Go out to the main road and flag a yellow cab down. They're on a meter and cost around £1.25 each way. The farm is around £8 entrance fee. Don't get scammed in to paying £25 and the promise of a trip shopping. It's 1 shop like our local corner shop. For our experience I have to give it 5/5 See you a

Not the cleanest Hotel, rooms dated lot of broken bits. Only in day 2 of 11 days and we hate it. The plus is sun, sea and beach ate beautiful but negative side is dirty pool, food not great, drinks poor, rooms old, broken items, faulty lights, air conditioning is not adequate for the heat at this time. Sunbeds and cushions old alot of cushions ripped or missing, chairs creak when sitting on them scared of breaking them. Pool is dirty, you see floating bits in it which put me off .Limited English speaking staff. Sadly won't be returning x

We had a great time at the Hari Club, it just wouldn’t have been the same without the animators. Rico is the best DJ – even though there weren’t too many of us, he always played a few Hungarian songs so that we could feel at home. Thank you for the whole week! Also, Loufi and Stephan were amazing to meet – cool, welcoming guys who always had something new for us every day. As for the downside, I’d mention the room we got, which didn’t really look like the one shown in the pictures (though we saw that there are rooms like that as well). Other than that, it was a fantastic holiday – thanks again to the animators!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely getaway. The beach is stunning and our favourite part of the holiday. There was always activities and the animation always had something going on for the families. My fave animator was Suzy, she was so kind and made sure she spoke to everyone. The only downside was the food, it wasn’t that great.
