Residence Agathea

Checked in okay and asked for sheets and towels. Were then informed that they don't supply them but offered us two packs of them for €12 each. Went to the room only to find a complete dump. The double bed was jammed into a room with no space around it, the other two beds were bunk beds. They had given us the sheets which turned out to be singles only and made of a sort of waxed paper. The double mattress was disgusting, the bunk beds not any better. There was nowhere to put luggage except in the living area, no hanging space at all. The place was supposedly a 5 berth. The toilet had a boiler above it restricting your access (mind your head).We decided to go for a walk in order to see if there were any other hotels nearby before just leaving and becoming homeless. We found one, booked it, paid again then returned to the Agetha to check out, we had only checked in about 2 hrs earlier. They then tried to charge us €97 city tax which after arguing was reduced to just under €4. We didnt bother asking for our money back. If you do stay here, beware of the car park behind the place, it costs a small fortune (in fact most of the public car parks are the same here). We parked overnight in one and they tried to charge €43 for 11 hours, fortunately the payment machine was faulty so they let us out free of charge. On street parking is available free everywhere and is an okay option.

What a dreadful place. It started with unfrendly staff. Then, in the room the smell of citronella cleaner almost took away your breath. The interior is heavely outdated, hard matrasses, only one available electricitysoccet (the others too unsafe to use, even sparks when trying), big boiler right above the toilet (you cannot stand peeing, and if you sit down you need to stand up carefully not to hit you head). Realy, even apart from the price being too high, it is absolutly not advisable to stay there. Horrible experience.

Very nice location, in the center of town! Great staff and very clean rooms! Two nice pools and very close to the beach. Will definive come back here! Thanks staff of Agathea! Hope you will continue this kind of service!

Uncharmy "hotel" - Service non existing. During our two week trip in Europe this hotel was definitely the only bad experience. We had forgotten to "pre order" bedwear , and when asking on the reception the willingness to help us was 0%. Even when asking for new toiletpaper you feel questionned. Pool area ok but totally uncharmy, no possibility to drink or eat anything, no bar no icecream. Icecream you can purchase at the reception but need to wait for the staff to come and pick it for you from the icecream fridge. Rooms very worn, AC not working, only blowing air. Only good thing about this hotel is its central place by the port and the center. Walking distance to the big Richelieu Beach which is great. Next time we will look for another hotel.

Three of the receptionists are nice and helpful; one is rude for no reason. The front desk closes at 19h00; there is one sign telling you that in case of need you can call a certain number. No-one answers that number and no-one returns your call. They have a laundry room, which they don't tell us, which becomes locked at 19h00 for no reason, which they also don't tell us, so I was walking around the whole property carrying my dirty clothes looking for someone to tell that the laverie is locked but there is no way to communicate after 7pm.

Terrible dirty Rooms, NO Cleaning, every guest cleans for the next guest-its disgusting, NO Desinfection, OLd unwashed pillows and bedstuff, smell strongly after SMOKE. We had to leave this place quickly

Déçue de cet établissement. Personnel à l’accueil pas très accueillant, le responsable engueule son personnel devant les gens pas très respectueux. Les chambres sont propres dans l’ensemble si ce n’est que les matelas sont avec des taches. La literie est à revoir ainsi qu’un bon coup de rafraîchissement à l’établissement. Situation géographique super, rien à dire.

Nous avons logé au sein de cette résidence pour une durée d’une semaine. Notre séjour a été chaotique. D’entrée de jeu nous sommes confrontés à un personnel de réception qui n’a pas l’air heureux de nous recevoir, aucun sourire, aucune sympathie. Nous pensions que cela ne s’appliquait qu’à la personne nous ayant reçu le premier jour, malheureusement non tout le personnel est doté de la même sympathie envers le client. Une caution de 180€ nous est réclamée (noté absolument nulle part), en nous assurant que nous la récupérerons en fin de séjour. Je ne vais pas créer plus de suspens, jusqu’à ce jour, encore aucune trace de ces 180€. Nous nous sommes donc tout bonnement fait arnaquer. Tout au long du séjour le contact avec la réception ne s’est que mal passé.La moindre requête les dérange, personne ne montre aucune dévotion vis à vis du client, on nous accuse lorsque qu’un problème se présente, or que tout a été fait correctement lors de la réservation, nous n’avons droit à aucune excuse, on nous souffle au visage lorsque qu’on demande pour prévoir le chek-out (procédure qui nous a été demandé de suivre à notre arrivée) et j’en passe,… c’est tout bonnement inadmissible. En ce qui concerne la chambre, pour faire court, nous avons pu y accéder seulement à 17h, or qu’on nous avait dit au préalable que notre chambre serait prête à 15h, nous avons pris la formule « hôtel » comprenant des serviettes de douche que nous avons reçu le 3eme jour en haussant le ton à la réception, la douche ne s’évacue pas correctement, la Clim coule sur notre terrasse via un tuyeau pas raccordé, aucune poubelle présente dans la chambre c’est à nous d’improviser, l’ascenseur pue et ne semble pas nettoyé depuis des mois,… En clair c’est endroit est à fuir absolument, je n’arrive pas à concevoir qu’un tel endroit puisse exister. Et n’espérez pas récupérer votre caution en appelant votre banque si jamais un problème se présente, comme nous a affirmé la réceptionniste, je ne sais par quel magie mais aucune trace de la transaction ne figure sur les comptes. Je vous assure que ce lieu ne vaut même pas une étoile, heureusement pour eux qu’il n’est pas possible de mettre moins

Votre emplacement est ok, rien d'autre que je ne recommande pas, j'y étais du 10 au 14 août, 120 € ont été prélevés sur mon compte en garantie au départ le 14, ils ont dit qu'ils débloqueraient l'argent, mais ils ne l'ont pas fait. je n'ai pas d'argent, merci
