Caravan Hotel Addis

Je ne peux pas évaluer l’aspect de cet établissement, car je n’y ai pas mis les pieds. Lors de ma réservation, j’ai essayé à plusieurs reprises de contacter l’établissement via le numéro présent sur leur page, mais personne ne répondait et aucun mail n’était disponible pour les joindre. J’ai insisté sur les appels pour communiquer mon heure d’arrivée et organiser la navette aéroport incluse dans les services, mais je n’ai reçu aucun retour. Depuis la réservation effectuée et payée, aucun contact n’a été initié de leur part, pas même un message de confirmation. À mon arrivée à l’aéroport, je ne savais pas où aller. Heureusement, la compagnie aérienne avait réservé une chambre pour moi et organisé mon transfert. Et bien sûr aucun remboursement possible .

I stayed with this property in December, 2023. In years of travel to Ethiopia, I've rarely had a poor experience. The room had numerous cockroaches in the bathroom and bedroom. The bathtub was not connected to the floor, and there was consistently no water pressure and no hot water. Additionally, at check out, I was told by the staff of the hotel that I had never paid for my stay. I had paid online, but according to the staff, that was only a 'booking fee.' Coincidentally, the charge they said I owed at checkout was the same as the nightly rate I had already paid for online. I had to catch a flight, and did not have time to dispute with the staff, but this was clearly a scam.

This run down place does not even deserve a single star. I paid for 7 nights and left the hotel after 1 single night not even asking for a refund! The dirtiest, most derelict hotel i've ever been to in Addis Ababa. I almost electrocuted myself when i tried to take a bath. I opened the water taps and water started bursting from every hole and the floor was flooded in a few seconds. Closed the taps when i realized the water had already inundated the bedroom. Tried to get out the tab and DANGER realized that a plugged electricity socket was literally at floor level and water almost reached it ! I waited for the water to drain, throw 2 towels on the floor and jump out of the bathroom stepping on those dry towels. I left the hotel immediately and even thought of calling the police. The hotel is a big scam.
