Marmaris Bay Resort - Adults Only

Die ganze Anlage ist absolut im grünen Paradies, leider ist es für ältere oder Gehbehinderte Menschen überhaupt nichts. Je nach dem wo man sein Zimmer bekommt muss man 50 bis 80 Treppen laufen und dies natürlich mehrmals am Tag. Aber wenn jemand damit kein Problem hat ist die Lage super und sehr Ruhig. Ca. 10 km außerhalb von Marmaris, ohne Auto wird es Teuer mit dem Taxi in die Stadt zu kommen. Es ist ein 5 Sterne Hotel, nur leider ist das Buffet nicht besonders, man findet zwar immer was ,das ist nicht das Problem. Aber die Touristen die 5 Sterne Hotel bei Antalya gewohnt sind, die müssen viele Abstriche machen. Es gibt kein Nachmittags Buffet mit Kuchen oder Snacks. Vom Privaten Strand hat man leider immer den Blick direkt auf einen großen Hafen, auch nicht jeder Mann Sache. Wir waren Zufrieden mit allem , waren aber auch Ende Oktober vor Ort. In der Hauptsaison muss es dort eine Katastrophe sein, wahrscheinlich sind dann Morgens um 7 Uhr schon die wenigen Liegen am schmalen Privatstrand schon belegt und man hat den ganzen Tag den Lärm vom Hafen. Wie gesagt Außerhalb der Saison jeder Zeit.

I think we need to firstly talk about all the reviews that are saying there are loads of steps to climb at this resort. There are a number of steps but this is due to the resort being nestled into the mountains, the trade off is that you have amazing views and your accommodation is in amongst the green trees. If you aren’t used to steps maybe request a room lower down? Food was what we expected from a place that catered for over 350/400+ people. Drinks menu was limited, but every request for something off menu was done, from G&T to Espresso martini’s. To the people leaving scathing reviews - you have all you can eat and drink with 26°C sun (in Oct) the staff can not be more helpful and amenable with any request, even at the end of what can only be a long season we were met with only smiles. Can not recommend more for a chilled break from UK winter. Resort is a rare find.

I wouldn’t say it’s 4 start hotel. Food selection very minimal comparing to other 3-4* star hotels. Drinks are very basic, cups, glasses not clean so you drinking mixture of residue of old drink and a fresh drink. Soft drinks really bad taste (tasted myself and heard from other people) cocktails made using soft drinks such as coke or Fanta were not drinkable. Asked bartender to try and they spat it out. Manager said that’s what they have at the moment and carried on serving same. Next 2 days I and my friends were sick. The area very quiet and views are amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful always meets with a smile. Rooms very basic and outdated requires some work to be done. Room cleaners were doing good job apart of taking some money left from top of the table. In overall if you are not very fuss about food and drinks and a lot of walking and doing many stairs this hotel is not a bad place to spend a week.

Marmaris Bay Resort - Sep 24 The location is lovely built around original standing trees and with stunning views across the harbour and yacht marina for lunch and dinner. The ‘relax pool’ is exactly as the name suggests with bar and toilets close by - nice. Upon arrival at 11pm we had to wait an hour to get a golf trolley lift to our room, with no offer of refreshments - not great after a day of travelling. The site is quaint, almost ‘Lilliputian’ or ‘pixie’ like, built into natural hills but with very steep, uneven steps and decidedly precarious wooden handrails. Signage to rooms is almost non existent and confusing to say the least, particularly in the dark with mostly unlit, uneven, rickety steps - unsafe tbh. The main restaurant, buffet style, is only ok with a similar menu every sitting. There was a constant struggle for cups, and tea spoons and salt pots were always empty despite regular reporting. While ‘our’ waiter, Ahmet, was great, friendly and helpful, generally uniforms for male staff were dirty and scruffy. The fish restaurant ‘Zest’ is in the most beautiful setting, on a pier overlooking the harbour, and the food was lovely - thank you. I never saw any maintenance being undertaken and garden areas and footpaths were unkempt, dirty and scruffy. Cleaning, and room service, were only adequate and decor was distinctly shabby. The evening entertainment was very average, though I’m not one for loud music. Because there are no outside walls there was the ever pervading smell of cigarette smoke throughout the main restaurant, bar building. We used the water taxi across the bay into Marmaris, which we enjoyed. We also booked two trips but made our own way back from the first ‘hard sell’ in various shops in Marmaris centre. We subsequently cancelled the second planned trip. Our ‘rep’ ‘Angela’ was helpful. Would we return; very doubtful.

Booked with Jet2 and read the reviews on here and observed an increase in negative reviews. Called Jet2 about my reservations regarding receiving a 4 star all Inclusive experience.at this resort. As this was so short notice, no changes could be made. Having returned home, all the negative comments are valid, and I would say that the All Inclusive experience is at best 1 to 2 stars. The excuse by staff was its the end of season, meaning consumables were not being reordered or severely limited to guests. Essentially, it was beer/water only and rarely any wine with meals. Would love to hear from management and Jet2 why they feel it's viable to provide a 1-2 all Inclusive experience yet charge guests for 4 star experience for which they had booked, hoping to receive.

We stayed here for 14 nights between 26th September and 10th October amd booked through TUI. The positives are that the location is great and the views are beautiful. We had a bali spa package which was a bit pricey but worth it. I visited the hairdresser based at the hotel, who is lovely, and did an amazing job of restyling my hair. The snack bar is lovely with food cooked to order, the service is also great and you can see the staff work very hard. The only positives from the main restaurant is the omelette station at breakfast and the pastry corner. Now for the negatives, the rooms were generally clean but the floors are filthy, our feet were constantly dirty just from walking around in the room. The fizzy drinks and fruit juices are often watered down or flat and have little taste. The main issue is the food, desserts often run out by 8pm and are not replenished, despite dinner being until 21:30. Desserts consist of the same 4 things every meal time. The food is mostly the same everyday which has been extremely boring after being here for 2 weeks. Food has little taste and can sometimes be cold. As others have mentioned, there is very often a lack of cutlery and cups. Having to drink from paper cups and eat with plastic spoons is not acceptable in a 4-5* hotel. They often run out of food and drink, since being here they have run out of ice cream (for 5-6 days), tonic and apple juice. On several occasions I have seen the chefs eating food behind the service stations with their gloves on. After our spa treatments we were approached by a very pushy lady who said we need to book more treatments for our 'needs', which would cost us an extra £400. She was very persistent which ruined the relaxation from the massages. I was left to wash my face-mask off in the sink when we declined booking more treatments. The general mood in the hotel isn't great, with lots of people complaining about the food from the restaurant. The entertainment is okay, but we didn't partake in much as that's not what we come on holiday for. Overall, this hotel is a 3* at best. The hotel has so much potential but a lack of good management is clear to see in a lot of areas. I would not return or recommend it to others in its current state. I'd also recommend bringing insect repellent as I was covered in bites during the first few days (we brought repellent spray from the hotel shop). We've made the most of our holiday but it has been very disappointing for the amount we paid.
