Belvedere Hotel

Just got back from spending a week at the Belvedere hotel with my husband, we had the best time the staff were very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily. You can get a bus outside the hotel into Skiathos town or take a short walk to the beach and get the water taxi. We will definitely be returning for 2 weeks next time.

We had the most amazing holidays of our lives. Me, my husband and my daughter and my son in law spend a week at belvedere village and it was the best decision we ever made! We got welcomed at the check in by the smiley faces of the staff and that was a sign of what was about to come. We had booked two double bungalows and for our convenience they were next to each other. We were amazed by the spectacular view we had and we were enjoying it every day from our balcony. We were spending also much of our time by the pool, relaxing, having fun and drinking amazing cocktails!! Also, not forgotten the amazing job the maids did for us. The rooms where spotless clean every day and everyone was taking care of us! Last but certainly not least, the location of the hotel which was ideal for whatever you want to do (both excursions to the beaches and chill walks at the main town of the island!). We are beyond thankful for the hospitality of the hotel and we can’t wait to be back next year! See you 2025!! Jessica and Peter!!

We booked this hotel 12 months before arrival, with TUI. They had a choice at the time of four rooms to choose from so we chose the Superior Double as it was called at time according to the hotel website. As we thought the name would suggest, we fully expected our room to be 'Superior' and with a balcony and sea view. Imagine our disappointment when the room allocated to us on arrival was a 'Garden room' We queried this with TUI and the hotel itself and asked them to reinstate our original choice of room but sadly as no other rooms were available we had to accept the garden room. Our garden room was a major disappointment. Yes, it had a balcony - of sorts - but it wasn't big enough to put more than one chair on (not that we'd been given more than one chair for the 'balcony' - in a 2-person occupancy room) and the 'garden? ☹️ oh dear. To give its accurate description, wasteland with some sort of debris covered with a sheet. To be fair the room itself was clean and the bed comfy with sheets and towels cleaned regularly. We needed plenty of towels though because the bathroom flooded every time we had a shower and we had to mop it up; I did report this but it wasn't rectified while we were there. The room had a free safe which was a bonus and also free air conditioning but unfortunately that appeared to be set on one temperature that couldn't be altered so we had no choice but to keep the door open as it was so warm. There was a mosquito net at the door but I didn't notice until our last day that it had a huge rip at the base; I couldn't understand why I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos every night but now I know 😡 We were on a B&B basis but the breakfast looked so unappetising that we didn't bother. There is however a great bakery across the road that we went to every morning and that was delicious. We didn't use the pool as it looked a bit stained and not particularly clean. I understand that this hotel had undergone a period of upgrading but it still looks quite tired. It clearly needs a much bigger injection of cash to bring it up to an acceptable standard. For instance, small things like taps in the ladies toilets not fixed to the basin. Again, in the Ladies w/c there were chunks of plaster out of the wall with insulation showing. It's not good enough and gives a VERY bad impression. How this hotel has 4**** status I do not know! On a positive note, the staff we met were all very kind, from Reception, the cleaners and also the lovely young man running the bar. We have been going to the Greek Islands for many years but this is easily the worst accommodation we've ever come across and it's a real shame because it could be so much better. The hotel is in a prime position, 5 minutes from Achladies Beach and 10mins on the bus to Skiathos town and I was full of hope and really looking forward to it but the state of the place put a real dampener on our holiday and quite frankly I couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Dreadful hotel - do not think this is a 4 star hotel. It’s a 1 star in my view. No hot or warm water to shower for only my 2 nights , hair was matted . Ants in the room - disgusting . Breakfast was cold and not very inspiring to eat . The pool was dirty and nothing about this place I liked - apart from the bar man Billie .

Don't go there,we went for 2 weeks and only got hot water for 3 days,we had a bath in room with no plug and we asked reception for a plug they said it was illegal to have a plug in Greece, Also the plug on the sink was broken so we could not empty the sink we just left it for the maid.The shower housing fell off the wall and the hair dryer also fell off the wall.We also had to ask them for toilet rolls and clean towels.We have been abroad many times and we would only give this hotel a 1 star.1

Stayed in the Belvedere hotel skiathos. We were booked in a hotel in skiathos town. But EJ changed it. Wasn’t my preferred location so I was a bit apprehensive. The hotel was really nice we stayed in the main building 1st floor sea view. Bus stop 10 right outside. One thing I didn’t like is crossing the road to the beach which was beautiful and only a 10min walk away. Breakfast was okay. They have kettles at reception they don’t charge. They gave us some cups. Supermarket across the road for milk ect.
