Cafe del Mar Sapzurro

I have been privilaged to stay here on three occasions between April 2022 & May 2023 and am already planning my next trip in April. I have stayed there on my own and also with a friend. The service from Chris, Sandra and Esperanza is second to none, from the time of booking to the stay communication has been a 10/10, they are just lovely people who have plenty of experience in tourism and service and just want you to have the best time possible. They are all excellent cooks too and there is never any shortage of fresh fish. Don't expect just your standard fried fish, patacon, rice etc here. They are very eco & sustainably minded and this is reflected in many ways. Working in the industry myself, I am probably a little more critical than most and I can barely fault this place. The cabin is super cute with all it's special details and decoration. You get your own private bathroom - not an ensuite but you don't have to share it. The queen corner room is my favourite, being up high and waking up to the beautiful sunrise in front of you. Looking out the windows from the bed you can basically only see the sea - that's how close it is! The queen room has a new orthopedic mattress which extremely comfortable, the twin room didn't last time I was there but was still very comfortable. Probably the only thing to keep in mind is that there is not always electricity nor mobile signal (although 90% of the time it is good enough to hotspot from your phone to your laptop - get a claro sim card before you go!). In dryer months the water will be lacking but they have a beautiful outdoor shower for when not enough is coming into the indoor showers. There is always drinking water from a special clay filter. For me this is all part of the charm and has not made my stay more uncomfortable in the slightest, it's all part of the adventure and being such a remote place - these things happen! I can't wait to return, I often daydream about Cafe del Mar and Sapzurro - it's a truely special place!
