Littletown Farm Guest House

Tried this place for the first time and we were really impressed. Sarah the owner looked after us a treat with info on walks and fabulous breakfasts. This place although a bit off the beaten track is well worth a visit situated at the bottom of Cat Bell's mountain it is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The farmhouse is full of original features with a large breakfast room and really comfy beds .if you don't mind being away from your TV for a few days then this is the place to come.

Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and dog friendly. The location is spectacular and perfect for hikes and the host is both welcoming and knowledgeable of the local amenities and walking routes. We’ll return with the children later in the year.

What a great find this place was. It was pretty affordable compared to pretty much anywhere else we looked at that wasn't a hostel and I really do think for the area you get your moneys worth. The breakfast that came with the room was really great, we even got a veggie sausage and extra egg instead of the normal bacon and sausage (though, maybe to message ahead to make sure as it's not on the menu), but you can also get cereal and fruit on top of that, refills of coffee and juice too and it's all really tasty and sets you up for a day of hiking. The beds were honestly some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, which was just what we needed after doing Helvellyn!! The staff were all really nice and friendly and the highlight was Nelly the dog! The location is not an issue either if you have a car as it's close enough to Keswick and the nearby hikes but also really quiet and right in the mountains. Wifi is great too. Water pressure in the shower could be better but I imagine it's just par for the course when you are out in the sticks!

What a lovely place to stay. Such a friendly atmosphere and delicious breakfasts!!!! The room was really spacious and the view from The window was unreal! The owner, Sara was so kind helpful and welcoming, we would highly recommend staying there if you’re visiting Keswick and the nearby areas.

Upon arrival, the sitting room was welcoming and cosy with a lovely fire. The landing however, was dark and dreary. Room - a bit on the small side, mattress was uncomfortable. Lots of noise coming from adjacent rooms due to I think could be poor sound proofing and stud frame construction. Black mold on sealant on back of sink basin. Farm dogs barking throughout stay and again at 2am. Breakfast was average. On the plus side the B & B is situated in a lovely location with plenty of walks.

Husband and I stayed in this wonderful guest house after a recommendation from friends. I'm so pleased we did. It is in a lovely quiet location not far from Keswick and is also working farm so get ready for chickens and dogs greeting you as you arrive in the car park The hosts Rob and Sarah are so welcoming and it was like a home from home. Very much a family affair with daughter Emily looking after us at breakfast. So laid back!! The room was spacious and light with a fab view of the fells which are on your doorstep. There is a lovely snug area with a wood burner to sit and read or play silly parlour games !!. Also a small well stocked bar. We met other guests from America and Belgium who visit every year. The breakfast is absolutely delicious .Spoilt for choice. It is a cafe at the weekends with home made cakes to die for. Sarah will do packed lunch if you need it for days out. Nelly the border terrier will keep you entertained as she makes herself at home with all the guests !!. Great location to the Fells.. Catbells is right outside. This place is a gem. So chilled out after 3 nights there. Nearest pub is a half hour walk along the road but a nice scenic walk. Tip..use the directions on the website rather than follow sat nav. We found it easy to find using these. We will definitely stay again. Thank you ☺️
