WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED BACK OUR 3.900€ DEPOSIT PAYMENT! Although we booked through Small Luxury Hotels, the hotel itself is responsible for the reimbursement to guests. This is a warning for people interested in booking here. I have spent much time emailing back and forth with the hotel and being ignored. For a “luxury” hotel with good ratings on Tripadvisor, I am completely shocked. From my experience, I would expect that this hotel is completely disorganized without regard to customer service. We were looking forward to spending a quiet new year at what appears to be a beautiful hideaway. We booked through Small Luxury Hotels and were required to pay a 50% deposit. Due to changes in our plans, we had to cancel our booking well within the policy window, more than two months in advance of the check-in date. This means our 50% deposit should be fully reimbursed. Timeline: Cancelled: 10.10.2022. I waited a good amount of time before reaching out to the hotel for the reimbursement. Generally, this is an automated process at any other luxury establishment. 25.10.2022: Emailed hotel and Small Luxury Hotels regarding reimbursement 26.10.2022: Received a response from the hotel that they will process the refund to my bank account and requested my banking information. I sent my banking information 2 hours later along with the receipt of the deposit payment from the hotel. NO RESPONSE 10.11.2022: Sent a follow-up email to the hotel. NO RESPONSE 16.11.2022: Sent a follow-up email to the hotel. NO RESPONSE 18.11.2022: Sent a follow-up email to the hotel and expedited through SLH. NO RESPONSE. SLH Also follows-up with the hotel. 20.11.2022: Stephane emails back, stating that they JUST received my deposit request and asking AGAIN for my bank account number. Immediately responded with all of the information AGAIN. Stephane confirms receipt of email and information. 28.11.2022: Sent a follow-up email to the hotel. NO RESPONSE 29.11.2022: SLH sends a follow-up email to the hotel. NO RESPONSE 01.12.2022: Sent another follow-up email to the hotel From this experience we feel completely cheated, ignored, frustrated and not at all what we would have expected from a luxury property. 3.900€ is not a small amount to lose.
