I was born & bred in Abergavenny but moved in my mid 20's, although most of my family still live there. The town has changed a lot since I moved but I still enjoy visiting. The kings Head was one of my haunts back in the day so I thought I'd book a room there, the room was a bit tired & small but the bed was comfy & I slept well. The room was clean with an En-suite and there was a kettle with Tea, Coffee, Milk & biscuits & a wall mounted TV. Breakfast was super, I had the kings Head Special (full english) washed down with a Cappuccino. My egg was cooked how I like it (slightly runny) & fried. I could of had poached or scrambled. Other breakfast items were available & on the second morning I had poached egg on toast & again the eggs were cooked perfectly. I could also have had cereal & fruit but opted for a few glasses of juice instead. The only complaint I had was that I was served by a young male member of staff on the second morning who wasn't as welcoming as the young lady the morning before & had the radio on way to loud behind the counter / bar & the milk he put in my Cappuccino was off. All being said I would stay again & would recommend anyone to try it
