The Manor at Abberley

A short. Business trip. A very nice hotel this one. Check in was friendly and quick. Room was good. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were good. Would i use this hotel again. Yes i would.

We stayed one night in the room with the separate adjoining bathroom and exposed beams. The rooms are above a very nice country pub which looks like it has been refurbished recently. The room was clean and lovely and the bathroom was really nice too. Great water pressure, and the bath fills up nice and quick, with the option of a spacious shower also. A minor failing of the layout was the lack of overhead lighting. No big deal, but my girlfriend moved one of the lamps near the mirror to do her makeup. Car park on site had plenty of spaces, and the setting in a very small village is very pretty. Full marks to the food. Reading the menu, you might expect some standard pub grub to come, but the presentation and quality of the food here was exceptional. Whitebait where the nicest I've ever had, and my girlfriend's sea bass was also superbly seasoned and presented. I had the steak and ale pie, which doesn't sound exciting, but the again the presentation and the quality and generosity of the meat made this an exceptional take on a traditional dish. Great dessert too. All in all a very pleasant stay, which we would happily repeat.

Lovely hotel but found the staff quite unhelpful on arrival. Assumed we knew where are room was located, in the annex, left my wife to carry bags while I had to find a parking space…very few at the hotel itself

One of the best small country hotels I have stayed in. Location, service and facilities were all excellent.

A lovely, friendly, clean and comfortable place to stay in a beautiful area. The rooms are a good size, with good quality items throughout. The food is delicious, generous but not oversized portions. And the staff are great!

The property, the owners, the staff, were considerate and attentive, the room Abberley was large, with a great bath and shower. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous.. friendly staff, gorgeous rooms and amazing food. Couldn’t fault anything, and hope to be able to return.
