Wonderful island

First time in Maldives and we definitely hit the jackpot! We traveled for couple of weeks in September-October with a 4 years old child. The island itself is of a good size and fits various different restaurants on shore and on the water, activity centers and even areas to play Badminton, Tennis, Squash, Ping Pong and Pool. The gym had the latest equipment and the kids club was nicely decorated and spacious. I believe we were offered with the best villa located on the left side from the reception - the beach was smooth, clean and that's where the coral reef was. So our daily activity always included snorkeling. The masks are offered for free from the hotel, but we brought our own. All of our stay we were guided by the nicest butler we've met - Ilmira, who took care of everything we asked for quickly and in the best way possible. Not only her response time to messages was minimal, she did a great job organizing a birthday celebration, all of our excursions and bookings for restaurants, spa and play courts. I believe not only the hotel but Ilmira made our trip beyond our expectations. We visited all of the restaurants except one where the age limit was 18+ and Ralu stood out to us the most. The chef of Ralu and her team honestly surprised us as the food was truly tasty everytime we went there. Child menu also at every restaurant but we've also asked for some dishes separately which were done very quickly. Another thing which we loved was the nature all around us. Colorful parrot fish, bats, herons, sharks (not dangerous), crabs, dolphins... were truly great for the exception of one black bird which we called the rooster as she woke us up several times early in the morning by continuous loud cry. We've enjoyed the spa (Balinese massage) and the jet skis although I found it to be pricey ($170 for 15 mins). Unfortunately the hotel isn't completely equipped for a child of 4 years old + as there were no child toilet seats available (we brought our own by chance), step stools for the sink in any of the restaurants (we've received a handmade one to the room) and no child bicycles to ride around the island with the parents. Also I didn't quite understand the necessity of a window between a shower and a toilet room and the toilet room not having any locks but that is a minor detail. Overall it's definitely a hotel / an island to come back to. Even though it seems like we've tried everything, the sunset and dolphins excursions, played tennis and badminton, visited all the available restaurants and even the island's museum, I see myself coming back here.

Before arriving, I scoured the web for tips about Heritance Aarah, and on the whole the stay has been pleasant: both the beach and over-water villas are comfortable and the views are stunning. The restaurant staff are excellent—every team member we met was friendly and helpful. The room was also cleaned thoroughly every day, and the mini-bar snacks were restocked daily. The only real disappointment is that I e-mailed ahead to say this is our honeymoon, yet the turndown decoration was forgotten on day one. I personally called the front desk twice, and it was only with the help of our butler Hilmee that someone finally arranged the honeymoon bed decoration—on our very last night before check-out. Likewise, I was told there were no table decorations left, yet while we were dining we saw a birthday set-up on the next table. I’m puzzled, because many online posts show honeymoon table décor. These may seem like small things, but they did affect the experience; I’d expected the honeymoon to feel a little more special.

After arriving at Treasure Island, I drank all the welcome juice served! Passing over a cool towel and juice when it's hot and tired at the reception desk is incredibly refreshing! Then the butler sent us special and considerate reminders, restaurants, bars, island facilities, and arranged dinner for us every day, even setting sailings for us. After confirming the time, we started enjoying ourselves! The butler's name is KYAW, and the details are meticulously arranged. Some people say he doesn't reply and sends us our daily itinerary every day. When he first arrived, he mentioned it but couldn't remember it very well. The arrangement is perfect, and we'll always be picked up at the restaurant.

Herritance Aarah is truly a magically beautiful place. We stayed in a water villa where we snorkeled with turtles and reef sharks right off our terrace. Our wonderful butler, Kunal, has taken such good care of us with his warm and professional manner. He has been there for us from early morning until late at night, handling all our bookings, driving us everywhere, and making sure our stay was perfect. You are the best Kunal We played padel and went to the well-equipped gym every day. The food and drinks at the restaurants were excellent, and the people were incredibly friendly and serviceminded. Thank you, Herritance Aarah and Kunal for a delightful week. We will definitely be coming back!
