Tybee Sunshine is a self contained studio apartment on the ground floor and only 20 steps until your toes are in the sand and you enter the beach through a private beach path. Located on the quietest part of beach on Tybee, but also walking distance to some of the best restaurants on the island, including Sundae Cafe, Salt Island, North Beach Bar & Grill, Cockspur and Sea Wolf. Our Episode is viewable through On Demand Fortunately, we had the wonderful opportunity of participating in an episode of the HGTV show Beachfront Bargain Hunt, which Flip Flop Fever is featured in. The episode covers the story on my search for the perfect beachfront/oceanfront property and I invite you to come stay in my perfect piece of paradise--Flip Flop Fever.The sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean surround you in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. You can watch the dolphins play just a couple hundred yards away, take in the enormous cargo ships as they glide the edge of the horizon, watch the shrimp boats catch tonight's dinner and smell the sweet saltwater air all from the comfort of your own private balcony and from both the living room and the master bedroom in this condo. Enjoy these scenes from a cozy sofa or queen bed with a handmade Tybee Island driftwood headboard, while dozing off for an afternoon nap after a morning stroll along the sandy shores. There are stairs to the 3rd floor and no elevator is available, but I feel the climb is worth the view. In past years, I have rented condos at Tybee for my family, and I was often disappointed in the presentation and the bare minimum preparation. I have gone to great efforts to make my condo exceed your expectations regarding supplies and items throughout the condo. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, pots/pans and accessories you would need to prepare a Sunday meal or brew a quick pitcher of iced tea to sit on the porch and enjoy sipping throughout the afternoon. I am a big crockpot lover, when I’m visiting the beach. It’s so easy to throw something in the crockpot before heading out to catch some rays and when you return – lunch is ready! There is a large crockpot available for your use.A high-powered telescope located in the living room, allows you an up close and personal view of the sights and sounds of Tybee Island, Georgia and Hilton Head island in the distance. Watch the dolphins play, see the fish jumping or peek in on the kite boarders that frequently entertain us with their presence. The bath linens are of exceptional quality, soft and comfy. I have left plenty of bedding for your convenience and there is a pull-out sofa in case you bring more friends. I really believe it is the small touches that make someone feel welcome and relaxed. My goal in decorating this condo was to create an environment that is conducive of a relaxing beach vacation. A true home away from home feeling that will keep you coming back for more. The community is private with gated entrance and offers 2 pools and a kiddie pool. There is also a small area with swings for the children. BBQ grills outside the pool area and tennis courts across the street as well. I invite others to share in my enjoyment of the Atlantic Ocean and hope that their vacation at Tybee Island, Georgia will leave lasting footprints in their lives for years to come. I love this condo and I take pride in my little piece of paradise and would ask that everyone do the same and treat it as your own home. Welcome to The Heron’s Nest! Just steps to the beach and pool, this 1 bedroom condo is perched on the top floor of the B building with an elevator and features a queen bed, sleeper sofa, 2 bunk beds, full bath and kitchen including breakfast bar. Breathe in the ocean air from your own personal balcony. Situated on the tranquil north end of the island yet still walking distance to many of tybee’s most popular shops, restaurants & pubs! Perfectly situated on the quiet, peaceful north end of the island while also and just 150 steps to the beach! No kidding! We’re also conveniently located and within walking distance to restaurants/pubs, coffee shops, bike & kayak rentals.The condo is situated in the best of both worlds. It is beachfront on the Northend of Tybee (less crowded beaches); yet only 1 mile from “down front” aka the south end of the island and Tybrisa Street. Around the corner you’ll find a beach front pool, kiddie pool and plenty of lounge seating. Next to the pool is the boardwalk to the beach. Also, the grounds include tennis courts, playground, picnic tables and grills.The condo is completely furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, four-burner stove, oven, blender, coffee maker, and all essential cooking ware (pots, pans, etc. ) Also, it includes all dish and flat ware (utensils, plates, glasses). Don’t worry about bringing the bulky beach gear that crowds up your trunk - we have a wagon, chairs, umbrella, cooler, and beach toys and towels waiting for you here!The unit is on the 3rd floor. We have an elevator, however, the building is up on stilts about 6 feet, so there are some steps to get up the elevator. There is a ramp on the front west side of the building in case you need that instead of taking the steps to the elevator.The main bedroom has queen size bed and has a very comfortable mattress. It has a large closet with plenty of room for your luggage and clothes.The bunk beds are such a fun experience for kids. It includes a ladder and a safety bar to prevent falls. The doorway in the hall and direct bathroom access from the master allow parents to put the little ones to bed and be able to access the rest of the condo without disturbing the little ones!The living room has a comfortable sofa, with a 50 inch flat screen HD-TV that includes full cable and Roku TV for streaming.The laundry facilities are at the end of the complex breezeway, the room to the right. The washers & dryers are coin operated and it costs approximately $3.50 to wash & dry a load. They don't have a coin machine, so if you plan to do laundry be sure to bring plenty of quarters.The lighthouse and Jaycee Park are just a 10-minute walk away. The park has scenic streams with turtles, basketball court, softball field, playground, disc golf course, picnic tables and grills. Beautiful live oak trees and a peaceful walking/bike path.5-15 min walking distance to our favorite pubs/restaurants: Huca-poos, Sundae Cafe, North Beach Grill, Quarter Bar & Grill, Chamacos, Zunzibar, Tybean Coffee, and if you desire dessert/breakfast, check out the Breakfast Club!Guest accessOccupancy designed for 2 adults max and 2 children only as the hallway bed is child-size.Parking in the complex is limited to one spot per unit.
